What is this?

rabbithole.capital is a learning accelerator. We help you get funding & build a community around a research rabbithole you want to explore. Think of it as learning in public, but paid.

We're building our first cohort during August, you can register interest below.

How does it work?

Individuals are funded through a process called a Learning Offering. There are four steps to this process:

1. 📝Drawing up an initial roadmap for exploring your rabbithole. This will include questions, resources, prompts, people, communities, tools, and contexts that you'll touch upon.
2. 💰Crafting a set of services around your roadmap. This is the 'learning in public, but paid' part. Depending on the subject, the services you offer will be different. Ranging from comprehensive resource summaries, to building a database around that topic, to AMAs, consulting calls, and more.
3. 👩‍⚖️👨‍⚖️Connecting you with people willing to invest in the exploration of your rabbithole. You'll be paid in stages during the Learning Offering. These people will make up your community of Learning Partners (LPs lol!). You'll mostly be responsible to them in your explorations.
4. 🎉🎉Start digging into your research rabbithole! You now have the freedom, time, space, support, and mandate to be fully curious about your selected rabbithole.

Why do this? (Four Core Reasons)

1. The process is completely personalised. You create your own roadmap, define your own rabbithole, ask your own questions, and curate your own community. You’re no longer tethered to the disciplinary constraints of an institution; you’re creating your own.
2. Earn as you Learn. Instead of going into debt for a standardised education, you’ll make money whilst pursuing a personalised education and bringing others along for the ride.
3. Community as Capital & Collective Cognition. Your group of learning partners will be your greatest resource, providing: accountability, advice, aspiration, helping with applying and re-articulating what you’re learning, and enabling serendipitous connections and collaborations to take place.
4. Build a Leveraged Launchpad. During the time spent learning in public, you'll be building a reputation, cultivating a network, and developing unique theses on your rabbithole. All of this will add up and act as a foundation for whatever your next endeavour is.

Who's this for?

• The characteristics we're looking for during our initial cohort are: risk tolerance, curiosity, communication capacity, comfort with ambiguity.
• You don't need to have a background in the topic you want to explore. In fact, it might be better if you have a completely different background. We love combinatorial creativity and intellectual trespassing!
• I have space for one more bulletpoint that has perhaps two or three sentences in it. I digress.
• Credentials don't matter either.
